After the Torres, Ssangyong could launch the KR10 next
Ssangyong's upcoming vehicle looks like a Bronco with a different face

What is the Tagalog of box? The answer is Karton. Ssangyong recently released the Torres and to say that it’s boxy is an understatement. But recently leaked photos via Korean website Autopost show us an even boxier SUV aptly named “KR10” beside the Torres. Could this be the next vehicle from the Korean automaker?

It seems someone from Ssangyong’s design department took some pics of a clay model and its codename is the KR10. Earlier, the company teased a Ford Bronco-inspired off-road 4WD small SUV. Renderings were plentiful online, but you couldn’t escape the Bronco influence. With the Torres aimed at the Korean off-road enthusiasts, could this KR10 maybe join that same campaign?
Locally, Ssangyong has kept its model offerings to a minimum. You only get three SUVs namely the Tivoli, Korando, the Rexton, plus their pick-up truck the Musso. The Torres has yet to make an appearance but with prices starting above PHP 1.2 million pesos and not even reaching PHP 1.7 million, the company is trying to rejuvenate itself. They are also in the process of finding a new owner for the business.

Will the Torres and KR10 attract new customers to the fledgling Korean company? Are the Torres and KR10 enough to get the local market behind them? Only time will tell if the formula they're going with will be a perfect square.
