ACET rescheduled; expect heavy traffic at Katipunan Ave. this weekend

Last weekend was supposed to be the start of the 2022 Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET). But due to adverse weather conditions caused by Typhoon Paeng, the university made considerations for those who were not able to make it on the Saturday schedule and subsequently postponed the exams for October 30.

Thus, ADMU announced the 2022 ACET for Metro Manila examinees is rescheduled to November 5 and 6, which is this weekend. With thousands of applicants set to take their exams at the university, motorists who frequently travel along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City are advised to expect heavy traffic in the area.

While the MMDA has not yet given motorists possible re-routing schemes in the area, those who need to travel in the area this weekend can follow the alternate routes detailed by Marikina's Interagency Traffic Task Force.

To avoid traffic build-up near Katipunan, motorists may take the Diosdado Macapagal Bridge near SM Marikina along Marcos Highway or FVR Road near Industrial Valley. Motorists coming from Bonifacio Avenue can turn left towards the Riverbanks Center in order to get to FVR Road and head to their destinations.

With the ACET likely to have morning and afternoon schedules on both dates, the public is advised to plan their trips accordingly to avoid getting stuck in heavy traffic along Katipunan.
