7Charge: 7-Eleven goes into EV charging business
7-Eleven calls its EV charging network 7Charge; should PH have it as well?

Whether you're a car guy going to a late-night meet at a gas station or just a random dude that wants a snack in the wee hours, your go-to place is probably a 7-Eleven store nearby. As we all know, 7-Eleven is known for its convenience and accessibility. But what if that trademark is used to provide EV owners with a convenient way of charging their vehicles?
Well, say no more. 7-Eleven, Inc. has announced 7Charge – their new EV charging network that allows customers to charge any EV make and model compatible with common CHAdeMO or Combined Charging System (CCS) plug types.
Their locations are also easy to find, as 7-Eleven is utilizing some of their existing stores to adopt the EV charging infrastructure. The 7Charge app is also designed to provide a seamless charging and payment experience for customers, as they can locate and pay for EV charging at the touch of their fingertips.
With such a vast network of 7-Eleven convenience stores, 7Charge aims to have one of the largest and most compatible fast-charging networks in the US. Currently, 7-Eleven already has 7Charge stations in Florida, Texas, Colorado, and California, while the rest of the US and Canada are set to also adopt the EV charging service.
For now, 7-Eleven, Inc. is focusing on making a lot of 7Charge outlets in its home market. But here's to hoping 7-Eleven would expand its EV charging services at a global scale. After all, it would be nice to experience charging an EV while enjoying an ice-cold Slurpee on a hot summer day, right?
