650 HP restomodded Skyline GT-R will cost you over PHP 26M
Japan-based tuner builds a restomodded R34 Skyline GT-R with 650 PS, 400 spot welds, and more

The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 may already be a classic, but that doesn’t mean tuners can’t make what was already an impressive beast of a machine into something even greater. In fact, one Japanese company by the name of ‘Built By Legends’ decided to do just that.
Recently, the Japan-based tuner, which is mostly known for building restomod versions of the R32 and R33 Skyline GT-Rs, has introduced its latest offering - a restomodded GT-R R34 that makes more power than the Nissan GT-R…and then some.

At the heart of this souped-up R34 is a MINES’ MB7 turbocharged inline-six that pushes out 650 PS. It is then mated to a heavy-duty six-speed Getrag manual gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. But don’t think that it only gets a more powerful engine, far from it.

A donor car is required to make the restomod a reality but Built By Legends doesn’t just restore a donor R34 GT-R. They wet blast the entire car, add anti-rust epoxy, and 400 spot welds to the structure to improve the vehicle’s rigidity. The tuner even includes a 108-point 3D alignment test before reinforcing the chassis.
Complementing the reinforced body & chassis are new carbon fiber body panels to save on weight, new suspension parts for better handling, and new bearings for a more refined driving experience. To help the 650 PS Skyline GT-R shave speed as quickly as possible, it has upgraded AP Racing brakes as well.

“Our goal is to bring out the true potential of the GT-R as a driver’s car and to deliver a world-class driving experience. Our new Built By Legends R34 GT-R represents our relentless commitment to excellence,” said Masaharu Kuji, CEO & Co-Founder of Built By Legends.
Looking to get one for yourself? Well, as mentioned earlier, you’ll need a donor car first to get the restomod project rolling. In addition, you’ll have to shell out a hefty $450,000 (or around PHP 26.420 million) for the full build and restoration.

Diehards fans of the Skyline GT-R R34 who have deep pockets, this could be your ticket to owning a powerful yet modern version of the infamous Godzilla.
