2026 Nissan Magnite: LTO approves turbo crossover for PH
Land Transportation Office releases homologation papers of 2026 Nissan Magnite for PH

Hear ye, hear ye. This latest development has made Nissan’s competitor to the likes of the Raize and Sonet a lot closer to being launched in the Philippine market.
The Land Transportation Office has released the homologation papers of the Nissan Magnite crossover, which now makes it eligible for registration and sale in the country.

It looks like Nissan will offer the Magnite in two variants, as the homologation papers were released for a VL Turbo and a VE Turbo – the former being the top-of-the-line variant, and the latter as the mid-spec or entry level model based on Nissan’s variant designation practices.
Either way, the Magnite will be powered by a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo engine shared with the Almera. In other markets, the power figures suggest the three-banger putting out 100 PS and 152 Nm of torque with an XTronic CVT driving the front wheels.

Based on the homologation papers, the Magnite for PH market measures 3999mm long, 1938mm wide, 1572mm tall and a wheelbase of 2501mm. Ground clearance, on the other hand, measures 203mm.
Earlier in the week, some of our media friends have already spotted two units of the Magnite crossover parked somewhere in the Metro. Those could be the initial units that Nissan PH is evaluating as they prepare to launch the model in the market.

Hopefully, Nissan PH gets to price the Magnite crossover within the PHP 900K-1.1 million range despite the model being sourced out from India, unlike the Raize and Sonet that enjoys competitive pricing thanks to free trade agreements in Southeast Asia and China.
