2025 Suzuki Dzire gets five-star Global NCAP rating
Freshly launched all-new Suzuki Dzire scores maximum five stars in Global NCAP assessment

Suzuki has just launched the all-new fourth-generation Dzire in India, where the sedan gets a fresh look with plenty of new features and standard safety tech. It turns out, Suzuki also did their homework at making it as safe as possible.
The all-new Dzire has achieved a five-star Global NCAP rating – a first for a Maruti Suzuki-made vehicle.
According to Global NCAP, the all-new Dzire was submitted by Maruti Suzuki for voluntary testing, where it was found that the structure and footwell area were rated as stable and can withstand further loadings.
In the test for adult occupant protection, the chest of the driver dummy in the frontal test showed marginal protection. The pole test showed full head protection and the side impact test showed full protection for the adult occupants.
Meanwhile, for the child occupant safety test, the 18 month old dummy showed full protection and the three year old dummy showed good protection to head and chest while neck protection could be improved by installing a rearward facing CRS. Side impact protection for child occupants showed full protection. Thus, the all-new Dzire was given four stars for child occupant safety.
With six airbags, three point belts for all occupants, plus ESC and pedestrian protection as standard, it’s a significant step up from the previous-generation Dzire as that model only achieved two stars for both adult and child occupant protection.
“The new Dzire’s five star rating sets a significant safety benchmark for Maruti Suzuki compared to the previous version of this model and others from Maruti we have tested. Global NCAP warmly welcomes this milestone voluntary test result.” said David Ward, Executive President of the Towards Zero Foundation.
