2025 Mitsubishi Triton Black Edition is one macho pickup truck
Does the Mitsubishi Triton look better with a black grille?

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has just given the Triton its first of many special edition models. Making its debut in The Land of Smiles is the 2025 Triton Black Edition, and from its namesake, it gets a heaping serving of blacked-out elements.

Beginning with the most obvious first, the Dynamic Shield originally finished in chrome has been painted gloss black. The same finish can also be found on the side mirror caps, door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels, and tailgate handle. Complementing the blacked-out elements are the smoked titanium finishes on the side steps and rear bumper.

As far as color choices are concerned, the Triton Black Edition is only available in two paint jobs – Graphite Gray and White Diamond. For something that's called Black Edition, it's quite odd Mitsubishi didn't offer a fully black exterior.

The Mitsubishi Triton Black Edition is powered by a 2.4-liter turbo-diesel MIVEC engine dubbed the 4N16. It makes 184 PS with 430 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Black Edition is exclusively available only as a 4x2 pickup truck.

With Thailand the first market to get the new Triton Black Edition, we won't be surprised if Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) might already be planning to launch its version of the blacked-out pickup truck. On the other hand, Triton customers in the country might have already done their take on the Black Edition with custom aftermarket finishes.
