2025 Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM PHEV yours for PHP 1.648M
The Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM could be the most affordable 7-seater PHEV in the market to date

After opening the reservation books for its upcoming 7-seater plug-in hybrid (PHEV) last month, Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) has officially announced the suggested retail price (SRP) of its latest electrified vehicle.
Before its public debut at this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), the automaker has shared that the X70 Lightning i-DM PHEV will retail for PHP 1.648 million. This makes it the most affordable PHEV in Jetour's lineup as the Dashing i-DM is priced at PHP 100,000 more. More importantly, this makes the X70 Lightning one of the most affordable three-row PHEVs in the market, if not the most.
It's still a little bit more expensive than the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i which is currently selling for PHP 1.548 million. However, the X70 i-DM comes with two extra seats, which could attract customers who want a three-row plug-in hybrid to ferry the entire family. It's also more affordable when compared to the other variants of the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV and the Honda HR-V e:HEV.

As mentioned before, the X70 Lightning i-DM gets its power from a 1.5L turbocharged engine that makes 156 PS and 220 Nm of torque. It is then assisted by a 19.43 kWh lithium ternary battery and a dual-motor system that provide an extra 199 kW or 270 PS and a healthy 395 Nm of pull. Power is then transferred to the wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
On a full tank of gas and a fully charged battery, the X70 Lightning i-DM PHEV can travel up to 1,200 km based on the WLTC cycle and up to 110 km on electric power alone based on the CLTC cycle (up to 85 km on the WLTC cycle). Need to power up a campsite or worksite? The X70 Lightning i-DM also has a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system that supports up to 6.6 kW of power.

Size-wise, the X70 Lightning i-DM measures 4785mm long, 1900mm wide, 1720mm tall, and has a 2745mm wheelbase. Standard exterior features include full LED headlights with adaptive low beams and high beams, LED taillights, a power tailgate, stylish 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/55 series tires, and a huge panoramic sunroof.
Open the doors, and the cabin greets occupants with a pair of 10.25-inch digital displays. One serves as the instrument cluster while the other is the touchscreen infotainment system. It also has another 9-inch display that serves as the dual-zone climate control of the vehicle. Other key features present include an 8-speaker sound system from Sony, a power-adjustable driver's seat, a push-button start, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, Bluetooth and QDLink connectivity, and rear aircon vents.

For extra peace of mind while on the road, the X70 Lightning i-DM comes standard with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). It consists of adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, forward collision warning with advanced emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, blind-spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, and a 360-degree camera system.
For additional peace of mind when it comes to ownership and aftersales, the Jetour X70 Lightning is covered by a 1-million/6-year bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as a 10-year engine warranty.
