2025 JAC T9 quietly launched in PH with multi-link rear suspension
Like the Nissan Navara, JAC reveals the T9 pickup truck for the PH market with a multi-link rear

After giving us an early preview of their latest pickup truck, JAC Cars Philippines distributor Astara has quietly launched the T9.
Set to take on the stalwarts of the pickup truck segment, the all-new JAC T9 features a stylish and aggressive exterior design that's paired with a high-tech yet comfortable cabin. It also has a 2.0L turbo-diesel that has more than enough grunt to haul cargo and get you where you need to be.

Starting with what's under the hood, the T9 is powered by a 2.0L turbo-diesel inline-four that makes 170 PS at 3500 rpm and 410 Nm of torque at 1500 – 2500 rpm. Power is then sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, as the T9 is strictly a 4x2 pickup. Drivers can choose from various drive modes, which include Standard, Economy, Sport, and Snow.
Unlike most pickup trucks, which have a leaf spring rear suspension, the JAC T9 gets a multi-link rear suspension, just like the Nissan Navara. The result is a softer and more pliant ride, which we were able to test a few months ago. Despite not having leaf springs, the T9 still has a payload capacity of 1,000 kg and has a towing capacity of 750 kg without trailer brakes. The bed, meanwhile, measures 1520mm long, 1590mm wide, and 470mm tall.

Size-wise, the JAC T9 is 5330mm long, 1965mm wide, and 1920mm tall. It also has a 3110mm wheelbase, a minimum ground clearance of 210mm, and an approach/departure angle of 27 degrees and 23 degrees, respectively. The T9 is also equipped with LED headlights & taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 265/60 series tires, rear privacy glass, and a black sports bar on the bed.
Hop inside, and the T9 welcomes you into a sleek and functional cabin. It comes with black leather seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable driver's seat, front & rear center armrests, automatic climate control, and a six-speaker sound system.

Other amenities available include a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, front & rear USB charging ports, a 220V charging outlet, rear A/C vents, a reverse camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors, power-folding side mirrors, smart keyless entry, and front & rear parking sensors.
When it comes to safety, the JAC T9 is equipped with cruise control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, electronic stability program, hill-start assist, traction control, a tire pressure monitoring system, vehicle dynamics control, and six airbags.

The JAC T9 retails for PHP 1.318 million and is available in the following colors: Black, Red, Star Gray, Silver, and White.
