2025 Chevrolet Groove swings into PH B-SUV market
Can the 2025 Chevrolet make the right moves in the competitive B-SUV market?

There’s a new B-SUV in town, and it comes from the bow-tie brand. That’s right, Chevrolet Philippines distributor Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. has just debuted its newest offering, and it’s looking to make all the right moves.
Say hello to the 2025 Chevrolet Groove, the bow-tie brand’s newest and stylish entry in the subcompact crossover SUV market. Combining sleek looks, a feature-packed cabin, and a turbocharged powertrain, the 2025 Groove is both a looker and jam-packed with amenities.

Starting with what’s under the hood, the Groove is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It makes a respectable 150 PS at 5200 rpm along with 255 Nm of torque at 1600 - 3600 rpm. If those figures look familiar, that’s because it’s the same engine that powers the 7-seater Captiva. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a CVT with a manual select function.

Style-wise, the 2025 Chevrolet Groove blends sleek looks and a dynamic presence thanks to a front fascia that’s dominated by the brand’s signature dual port grille. It is then flanked by a pair of wraparound LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. Diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels also give the Groove a more stylish appearance and are wrapped in 215/55 series tires.
Around the back, the 2025 Groove features a sloping roofline, a distinct kink in the rear quarter panels, and a prominent tailgate that features the wraparound LED taillights. The rear bumper, meanwhile, comes with functional dual exhausts, a diffuser-like trim, and rear fog lamps. Size-wise, the 2025 Groove measures 4365mm long, 1750mm wide, and 1610mm tall. It also has a 2550mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 155mm.

Hop inside, and the 2025 Groove welcomes occupants into a comfortable and tech-laden cabin. It’s fitted with leather sport seats and red accents, while a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat comes as standard. The front passenger, however, only gets a 4-way manual seat. There’s also a power sunroof that lets more light into the cabin.

Infotainment comes in the form of a 10.25-inch touchscreen media display that supports Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. Audio is then routed through a six-speaker sound system. Automatic climate control is also available in the 2025 Groove, along with speed-sensing door locks, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, a host of USB-A and USB-C charging ports, and an electronic parking brake.
For extra peace of mind while on the road, the 2025 Groove is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system. This gives the B-SUV a suite of intelligent driver aids such as adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, and emergency lane keeping.

Other safety features available include electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, a reverse camera, rear parking sensors, and six airbags.

The 2025 Chevrolet retails at a special introductory price of PHP 1.156 million and is offered in the following colors: Star Twinkle Black, Tungsten Gray, and White.
