2025 BYD Seal makes PH debut with 530 HP, 580 km range
BYD unveils the all-new Seal EV at 2024 Philippine EV Summit

After announcing its imminent arrival in the country, BYD Cars Philippines has officially revealed the all-new Seal midsize EV.
Combining sleek looks, a potent dual-motor powertrain, and a high-tech & comfortable cabin, the Seal serves as the brand's high-performance flagship and is poised to take a chunk of the midsize sedan market without a drop of fuel.

Starting with its all-electric powertrain, the 2025 Seal comes with a a pair of electric motors (each one placed on the axle) that delivers a whopping 530 PS on tap along with a healthy 670 Nm of torque. This gives the sedan instantaneous acceleration and a claimed 0 - 100 km/h sprint of 3.8 km/h. Top speed, meanwhile, is rated at 180 km/h.
The system is then paired with an 82.5 kWh BYD Blade battery which gives it a maximum range of up to 580 km on a full charge. The 2025 Seal can be recharged via AC (up to 11 kW) as well as DC charging as the 800V system can handle up to 150 kW of charge. On an 11 kW AC charging station, BYD says it can be fully recharged in 9 hours. On the other hand, a 150 kW DC charging station can recharge the Seal from 10% to 80% in 38 minutes.

The Seal also benefits from a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system that can power up devices and has an output of up to 3.3 kW via AC.
Size-wise, the 2025 Seal measures 4800mm long, 1875mm wide, 1460mm tall, and has a 2920mm wheelbase. It has a pair of eye-catching LED headlights that are complemented by faux intakes on the front bumper and the signature LED daytime running lights. The fastback-like shape not only gives the Seal a more aerodynamic shape but also lends to its sporty appearance.

Other key exterior features are the full-width LED taillights, stylish 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/45 Continental tires, a panoramic glass roof, and a rear diffuser on the back bumper.

As mentioned earlier, the 2025 Seal welcomes you into a high-tech and comfortable cabin. Immediately greeting you is the brand's signature 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen. Not only does it come pre-loaded with amenities, but it also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for easier smartphone pairing. The driver and front passenger are then treated to ergonomic sports seats that provide ample support and comfortable seating.
A pair of wireless charging pads are also present which allow for two phones to simultaneously recharge. Other creature comforts available inside the 2025 Seal include LED ambient lighting, a heads-up display for the driver, full leather upholstery, and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system.

For extra peace of mind, the 2025 Seal comes standard with intelligent driver aids via the brand's DiPilot ADAS. With it, the electric sedan gets a 360-degree camera system, intelligent cruise control (AKA adaptive cruise control), lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, front collision warning with automatic emergency braking, traffic congestion assist, and traffic sign recognition.

The 2025 BYD Seal retails for PHP 2.548 million and is available in four distinct colors; Arctic Blue, Atlantis Gray, Aurora White, and Cosmic Black.
