2024 Volkswagen T-Cross facelift looks great, but will PH get it?
Check out the changes Volkswagen made to the 2024 T-Cross

Remember when spy photographers managed to take pictures of the refreshed T-Cross? Well, after being spotted several months ago in prototype form, Volkswagen has officially unveiled the 2024 T-Cross facelift.
Looking sportier and more stylish than ever, the B-segment SUV fighter is a looker from every angle thanks to the fresh new look it received from Volkswagen. Revealed in the top-spec R-Line variant, the 2024 T-Cross combines snazzy styling with German aesthetics.

Starting with its front fascia, the updated T-Cross gets a wider grille and a more prominent set of LED headlights. Volkswagen actually calls them the IQ. Light LED matrix headlights which they claim offer a brighter view of the road at night. Meanwhile, the grille design reminds us of the 2023 Tharu/Taos that the automaker revealed earlier this year.
The rear of the 2024 T-Cross was also given attention as it now features a sleeker set of LED taillights that come with X-shaped LED graphics. Not only are they eye-catching but it does liven up the rear section of the crossover. The full-width LED lightbar also adds some extra zing to the already good-looking vehicle.
In the top-spec R-Line, the bumper add-ons are finished in body color to help give it a more youthful vibe. On lower variants, however, we can expect them to be finished in either a faux metal trim or maybe even in black body cladding. Last but not least, T-Cross rolls on new 16-inch alloy wheels although a much bigger set is also available at 17-inches.

Pop the doors open and the cabin greets you with a more modern and futuristic-looking interior. The hard plastic (i.e. cheap) from the outgoing version has been replaced with more high-end materials. Volkswagen also mentioned that it now has soft upholstery trim for a more quality look & feel.
At the center of the dashboard is a new touchscreen infotainment system. On lesser variants it only measures 8 inches but higher-grade versions get a bigger display at 9.2 inches. Below the touchscreen is the HVAC system - manual air-conditioning is standard while an automatic climate system control with slider controls is available as an option. There’s also the digital cockpit that replaces the traditional analog gauges and multi-info display. Depending on the variant, the screen size can either be 8 inches or 10 inches.

Under the hood, the Euro-spec T-Cross will be available with two engine choices carried over from the pre-facelift version. That means a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder that makes 95 PS or 115 PS, and the more powerful 1.5-liter turbo inline-four that puts out 150 PS. Transmission choices for the European T-Cross include a 5-/6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox which is standard on the 1.5-liter turbo.
The market launch of the 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross will start in Q1 of next year. That means it might take a while before markets outside of Europe get their hands on it. With Volkswagen Philippines sourcing the T-Cross from China via VW-SAIC, we might have to wait for the automaker to reveal it in the People’s Republic before Volkswagen Philippines can actually bring it here.

Do you think Volkswagen will bring it to the country once it becomes available next year? Let us know in the comments.
