2024 Triton: Mitsubishi PH start to display new truck at dealers
Mitsubishi Carmona one of the first to showcase 2024 Triton in the Philippines

After its online preview last October 20, 2023, Mitsubishi Motors Philippine Corporation (MMPC) has started to rotate the all-new 2024 Mitsubishi Triton at showrooms all around the country. One of the first was dealer partner Mitsubishi Carmona, so we decided to take a closer look.

The new Triton continues Mitsubishi's proud pickup truck tradition that is built on reliability, style, toughness, daily-driven comfort, and performance. The name, however, is new for the Philippine market as Mitsubishi has decided to realign and use the Triton name as standard rather than Strada.
While we've already seen the Strada...er Triton in official press pics, this is only the first time we've seen the all-new pickup in the metal, and boy does it look prime and ready for the competition. With a boxier and more aggressive look, the Triton looks mean while also featuring a more futuristic look which complements Mitsubishi's current design language.

More importantly, the new Triton features a unique style in the market along with a revamped sporty interior. It gets a more high-tech cabin that is also edgier in appearance thanks to the generous use of rectangular shapes. The 2024 Triton comes in either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. With 2-wheel drive and the Super Select 4WD II system with 7 different driving modes.

The new truck is powered by a 2.4-liter turbo-diesel engine. The difference is that depending on the variant, it could come with either a regular turbo or a 2-stage turbocharger. The single turbo engine puts out 183 PS and 430 Nm of torque while the 2-stage turbo which is exclusive in the Athlete 4WD variant generates more with 204 PS and 470 Nm of torque.

The 2024 Triton comes in different colors namely, White Solid, White Diamond, Graphite Gray, Jet Black, Red Solid, and new shades that include Blade Silver and Yamabuki Orange.

Prices are as follows, the GL 2WD MT starts at PHP 1.134M, followed by the GL 4WD MT at PHP 1.157M. The GLX 2WD MT is offered at PHP 1.311M, while the GLX 2WD AT is PHP 1.383M. Lastly, the GLX 4WD is priced at PHP 1.561M.
