2024 Patrol Warrior wants to go where no Nissan has gone before

Remember when Nissan teased the Patrol Warrior last year? Well, after showing us a sketch and a teaser image, the automaker has officially revealed the souped-up 4x4 in all its glory. Made possible with Australian engineering company Premcar, the 2024 Nissan Patrol Warrior gets a proper makeover in order to make it even more capable in the harshest of terrains.

While some might say the exterior looks the same as a regular Patrol, the Warrior version actually focuses on the chassis and suspension upgrades with an emphasis on enhanced 4x4 capability, road presence, as well as refinement. It gets a 1.1mm suspension lift kit along with 18-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama Geolandar G015 295/70 all-terrain tires. This gives the 4x4 SUV an extra 2 inches of lift and a ground clearance of 323mm (+50mm over the regular model).

The vehicle also has a wider track that measures 1.5-inches more than stock, redesigned front springs, multi-rate rear springs, new progressive-rate rear bump stops, a reconfigured Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC), a 40-degree approach angle, and a 23.3-degree departure angle.

When it comes to exterior looks, Nissan & Premcar decided to give it a subtle redesign courtesy of several key changes. For starters, it gets a front skid plate painted red complete with the “Warrior” name, black fender flares, black side mirror caps, Warrior decals & badges, rear recovery points, and a new towbar.

Under the hood, the Patrol Warrior continues to be powered by Nissan's 5.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8 which makes 405 PS and 560 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. Power is then sent to a 7-speed automatic transmission with Intelligent 4WD, along with a limited-slip differential for the rear. Premcar also installed a bi-modal exhaust system that benefits from valve technology. This will allow drivers to set the dual side-exit exhausts to be quiet or as loud as (legally) possible for everyone to hear.

Looking to get one? If you happen to live in Australia, the Patrol Warrior will start at AUD 101,160 which is around PHP 3.687 million. Do remember, however, that the Nissan Patrol Warrior is exclusively available only in right-hand drive.
