2024 Mitsubishi Xforce: 2000+ units already in PH
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines preparing inventory for 2024 Xforce launch

2024 is a big year for Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. They just launched the Triton a few months ago; a core model that will give the many fans of Mitsubishi a great option for a pick-up truck. They are set to launch an updated Montero Sport, though we’re all still waiting for the next-generation model which is already a bit overdue given the competition.
There will be a third, and it’s an entirely new nameplate: the Mitsubishi Xforce. No, it’s not X-Force or XForce. It’s Xforce based on the nomenclature and promotional material we’re seeing.
Mitsubishi has delayed the launch to July, and with good reason: they’re busy building up their inventory in anticipation of customer demand. Based on the data we are evaluating, Mitsubishi Motors has already brought in 2,028 units of the Xforce.
Data from the Xforce’s country of manufacturing origin (Indonesia) indicates that Mitsubishi Motors is getting two variants of the Xforce: high-spec and mid-spec. We know they imported 311 units of variant M and 1,717 units of variant P in April and May 2024.
The data does not indicate which one is the high-spec and mid-spec. Conventional logic would indicate that the 1,717 units are of the mid-grade variety while the high spec would be the lower 311 units.
There is a possibility. however, that the 1,717 is the high spec while the 311 is the mid-spec, and here’s the reason: whenever an entirely new model or new generation is launched in the Philippines, it’s typically the highest grade model that gets sold out first. Customers here generally want to have that pride of being able to say they bought the TOTL (top-of-the-line) model early. It may seem shallow, but it is what it is.
Whatever the case may be, we can be sure Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is anticipating a strong reception for the all-new 2024 Xforce and is preparing sufficient units to satisfy the demand. And we haven’t even received the data yet for June.
