2024 MG Cyberster EV debuts in April at MIAS
The MG Cyberster EV has been previewed for PH with the help from The Turner Twins

After being spotted on a transport truck along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), SAIC Motor Philippines Inc. has officially announced that the MG Cyberster EV will be making its local debut soon. Just how soon you may ask?
Well, the automaker recently invited select media guests for a special preview of the upcoming electric roadster. Not only that, but they have also confirmed some of the features and specifications available in the PH-spec roadster.
For starters, they mentioned that the Cyberster will only be offered in a single variant, the top-of-the-line dual motor version that generates supercar-like figures and acceleration. The result is a total system output of 544 PS along with a meaty 725 Nm of torque. This allows the Cyberster to catapult itself from 0 - 100 km/h in a quick 3.2 seconds. On a fully charged battery, SAIC Motor PH claims the Cyberster EV can travel up to 520 km.

Other details about the upcoming Cyberster EV were not yet revealed. However, the local-spec version will come with a multitude of displays. These include the all-digital instrument panel and a center touchscreen infotainment system which will likely come with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
There’s also a button-style gear selector, an HVAC panel on the center console, red leather seats with power adjustability, and a Ferrari-like steering wheel with an integrated push-button start. Since this is a droptop, the Cyberster EV gets a folding soft top finished in black.

Also present during the special preview of the all-electric roadster were The Turner Twins. The British adventurers are best known for their pioneering adventures across different kinds of fields and challenges. From rowing across the Atlantic Ocean to climbing Mt. Elbrus in the Caucasus mountain, as well as reaching the Iberian pole of inaccessibility via fully electric motorcycles in just days, the Turner Twins know a thing or two about taking on grueling challenges.
For their latest endeavor, the identical twins took on the challenge of traveling from London to Shanghai with the MG Cyberster. So far, the pair have traveled over 14,200 km and have already spent 130 days on the road. The tour first started in London on the 12th of September, 2023, and will conclude in Shanghai in April 2024. The unique tour will mark the 100th anniversary celebration of the MG brand which will serve as an exciting new chapter for the automaker.

The twins, Hugo and Ross Turner, are now in the country to conduct the Philippine leg of their tour wherein they will travel to Batangas as well as Bataan. After the Philippines, the two will then travel to Cambodia, head on to Vietnam, travel to Hong Kong, and then finally finish their tour in Shanghai.
The 2024 MG Cyberster will officially debut at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. No prices have been given out yet by the automaker although they mentioned that it will be competitive against ICE sports cars in the segment.
