2024 Lexus GX shows off boxy design
All-new Lexus GX shows more skin before debut next month

Last week, Lexus gave us a glimpse of the all-new 2024 GX. While they only showed a teaser of the redesigned headlights and tailgate lettering, it's enough to whet the appetite of the motoring public looking forward to getting their hands on the brand-new GX.
Fast forward to the present day and they have released yet another teaser image of the next-generation SUV. Now we get an even better look at the 2024 GX, and boy are we not disappointed. It may be getting new skin, but its design will continue to be boxy and rugged like its predecessors.
Not only does it get flared wheel arches, but it also comes with a boxy profile that highlights its SUV heritage. It even comes with old-school style side mirrors that remind us of classic 4x4s from yesteryear. Last but not least is the full-width Prius-style LED taillights that give the next-generation GX a classier look.
Other details regarding the 2024 GX are not yet available. However, we won't be surprised if it will be underpinned by a shortened TNGA-F platform that's currently in the Land Cruiser and in the LX. Should it retain the body-on-frame design, the GX will still be able to go off-road without trouble while delivering better on-road comfort and handling.
Powertrain details are also not yet available at this time. If anything, it might come with a detuned 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 derived from the much bigger LX 600. As for its transmission, it could be mated to a 10-speed automatic complete with a 4WD system with locking differentials.
With Lexus set to reveal the all-new GX on June 8, we're just a couple of weeks away from its global premiere. Hopefully, we won't have to wait long for its arrival in the Philippines.
