2024 Huracan STJ is Lamborghini's special send-off to V10 supercar

Lamborghini's popular V10 supercar will soon be consigned to the history books. With The House of The Raging Bull looking to replace it with an electrified model, it may not be long before we have to say goodbye to the V10-powered supercar.

Lamborghini already replaced the Aventador with the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Revuelto which is sold out until mid-2025. With that, we won't be surprised if Lamborghini is already busy developing the electrified successor to the Huracan. To celebrate the V10-powered bull's legacy before it rides off into the sunset, Lamborghini has released a special edition model called the Huracan STJ.

Limited to only 10 units, this special tribute to the Huracan is based on the revered STO and represents the vehicle's pinnacle of performance achieved by the said supercar. STJ stands for Super Trofeo Jota which pays homage to the one-make Lamborghini championship first established in 2009. In addition, the “Jota” name also highlights the brand's long line of vehicles developed for the track; starting with the Miura SVJ and the latest being the Aventador SVJ.

Back to the vehicle itself, the Huracan STJ stands out with its unique aerodynamic package developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Leveraging 10 years of know-how at Gran Turismo racing, the sophisticated aerodynamics of the STO has been further improved with the addition of a “cofango”. It consists of two all-new carbon fiber aerodynamic appendages and a new rear wing with an increased angle of 3 degrees for improved downforce.

Besides giving the vehicle more downforce, the Huracan STJ also comes with better grip and agility thanks to a new set of adjustable racing-derived shocks. The new components are four-way adjustable to optimize the rebound and compression at both high & low frequencies. These will allow drivers to specifically set the spring stiffness while also optimizing steering precision on the track. Last but not least, the STJ rolls on Bridgestone Potenza tires that are made with a specific high-grip compound.

Like the STO, the Huracan STJ comes with a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 that cranks out 640 PS at 8000 rpm. along with 565 Nm of torque also at 8000 rpm. Power is then shifted to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox that drives the rear wheels only.

The lucky few that will be able to get their hands on any of the 10 Huracan STJs will be able to have them in two colorways. The first combines Grigio Telesto (gray) bodywork combined with a Nero Noctis (black) roof and Rosso Mars (red) and Bianco Isi (white) details. Meanwhile, the cabin is characterized by Nero Cosmus (black) Alcantara seats with leather details and contrasting Rosso Alala (red) stitching. The second configuration has Blu Eliadi (blue) bodywork with a Nero Noctis (black) roof and Rosso Mars (red) and Bianco Isi (white) details.

All 10 examples of the Huracan STJ will feature a carbon fiber plate with a numbered “1 of 10” inscription to remind owners they are in something special.
