2024 Corvette E-Ray is Chevy's gift to the world
Chevrolet celebrates Corvette 70th anniversary with a hybrid model using a 6.2-liter V8

Birthdays are special but Chevrolet certainly outdid itself with the global debut of its first-ever eAWD (all-wheel drive) sports car hybrid that uses a 6.2-liter V8 engine. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the 2024 Corvette E-Ray.
“In 1953, the enthusiastic reaction to the Chevrolet Corvette concept kicked off seven decades of passion, performance, and American ingenuity. E-Ray, as the first electrified, all-wheel-drive Corvette, takes it a step further and expands the promise of what Corvette can deliver,” said Mark Reuss, General Motors president.

The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray shares its proportions with the Z06 but has a low, wide stance thanks to its body that is 3.6 inches wider than the Stingray. It has four aluminum wheel finishes, fourteen exterior color options, an exclusive body-length stripe package in Electric Blue, standard carbon flash badging, available black exhaust tips, available carbon fiber ground effects, and optional carbon fiber wheels.
Inside is Chevy’s all-new Artemis Dipped interior. It has deep green tones on the interior surface and multiple customization options, including two carbon fiber trim packages, three seat choices, seven interior colors, and more.

“There’s never been a Corvette like E-Ray and its sophisticated design reflects that. It starts with the body color trim, which draws your full attention to the exotic proportions of the E-Ray. The interiors allow customers to reflect their individual personalities with their choice of color executions that provide a refined or dynamic sport look and feel,” said Phil Zak, executive design director of Global Chevrolet.
To ensure that this model is one of a kind, Chevrolet pulled out all the stops and gave its engine not one but two separate propulsion systems for electrified responsiveness and an eAWD system for sure-footed, all-weather touring capability.

The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray’s engine makes 495 horsepower and 639 Nm of torque, but if that is not enough, the electric motor adds an extra 160 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. The total output is 655 horsepower. That number allows it to go from 0-60 miles per hour (0-97 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, which makes it the quickest Corvette ever made.
It also has an Active Fuel Management system that uses the electric motor to cut down engine operation to four cylinders for higher efficiency. Drivers can select various modes, including Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, My Mode, and Z-Mode. There is a Charge+ feature that will maximize the battery’s state of charge.

“Corvettes must provide an exhilarating driving experience on backroads and tracks, and E-Ray nails it. The electrification technology enhances the feeling of control in all conditions, adding an unexpected degree of composure,” said Tadge Juechter, executive chief engineer, Corvette.
Aside from its advanced powertrain, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray’s eAWD constantly reads the roads to adapt to the conditions and the driver’s needs. It also has a Stealth Mode (drive on pure electric power up to 72 km/h), a Brembo Carbon Ceramic brake system, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, staggered 20- and 21-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires, and driver assistance technologies (Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking).

The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray will go on sale in the U.S. this year and is available as a removable roof coupe and hardtop convertible model. It is made in Kentucky, U.S.A., and has a starting price of $104,295 (PHP 5.7 million) for the 1LZ coupe.
