2024 BMW i4 M50 EV serves up 544 HP, yours for PHP 5.990M
BMW PH expands i4 range with top-of-the-line M50 pushing 544 HP and 795 Nm of pull

After initially only bringing the i4 in eDrive35 form, BMW distributor SMC Asia Cars Distributors Corp has officially launched the most powerful version of the all-electric four-door. Making its Philippine debut today is none other than the i4 M50, and despite not having an engine under the hood, it’s actually more powerful than the already mighty M3/M4 Competition.

Unlike the i4 eDrive35 which only comes with an electric motor driving the rear wheels, the i4 M50 packs a pair of motors that drive each axle. The result is a whopping 544 PS and an impressive 795 Nm of torque on all four wheels. Even more impressive is the fact that BMW says the i4 M50 can sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h.

With a fully charged 83.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, BMW claims the i4 M50 can travel up to 520 km based on the WLTP cycle. When it comes to recharging it, the battery supports 11 kW Type 2 AC charging as well as up to 205 kW fast DC charging. The former can fully recharge the battery in just over 8 hours while the latter can recharge it to 80% in just 31 minutes.

Design-wise, the i4 M50 EV combines sporty M looks with the avant-garde design of BMW i vehicles. The result is an aggressive-looking sports sedan that also looks elegant at certain angles. The front end gets a massive closed-off grille that is a direct inspiration of the M3/M4 grille design and is accompanied by the brand’s signature LED headlights & light signatures. It also gets M-specific bumpers, a sloping roofline, stylish LED taillights, and M alloy wheels.

Since it bears the M badge, the all-electric sports sedan also comes with plenty of M goodies like an adaptive M suspension, variable sport steering, M Sport brakes, and aerodynamic elements like a splitter & diffuser.

Open the doors and those already familiar with the interior of the 4 Series Gran Coupe will find a similar-looking cabin. But like most BMWs of today, it gets the Live Cockpit Plus feature which consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a bigger 14.9-inch infotainment media display. Both screens run on the latest iDrive 8.5 system and feature intelligent voice control that can be activated by saying “Hey BMW” along with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity.

Other key features present inside the i4 M50 include; a three-zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon sound system, a power tailgate, power-adjustable sport seats, rear A/C vents, and Sensatec upholstery.
The 2024 BMW i4 M50 is yours for PHP 5.990 million.
