2023 Suzuki Xbee looks perfect for Metro Manila streets
With an updated version, the Suzuki XBee would be perfect for our local roads

What do you get when you cross a Jimmy and Celerio? You get the Suzuki “Crosby” or as it’s spelled Xbee. Sadly, this vehicle is only available in Japan but with the specs, it would be a great wanderer for the local urban jungle.

With a total of thirteen combination patterns for the colorways, the Suzuki Xbee looks funky and fresh in its latest update. The little mild hybrid vehicle pumps out 98 PS and has a 6-speed automatic transmission. Its dimensions are as follows, 3,760 mm in length, 1,670 mm in width, and a height of 1,705 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2,435 millimeters making it perfect for maneuvering in tight spaces around the metro.

With this recent spec upgrade, a new grille has been installed for a flashier appearance. All variants will have a new set of wheels and all the IR cut windows will be treated with premium UV protection.

The interior gets new lux suede and brown leather materials. Brown metallic accents can be found in the instrument and door panels adding to the plushness of the interior. Black leather seats with body-matching color stitching will also be standard. One USB-A and a USB-C port have also been added bringing this vehicle into the 21st century when it comes to in-car connectivity.

Suzuki is locally known for their expertise with small vehicles. With gas and diesel prices rising, cars like these could do very well here on our busy and narrow Manila roads. Being a mild-hybrid as well, it looks like the little guy will only sip, and not guzzle up the gas. Unfortunately, there's little to no chance that Suzuki will actually bring this to the Philippines.
More than likely, Suzuki could bring the newly-launched Brezza or the upcoming Grand Vitara which both come from Maruti in India. Fingers crossed the automaker actually brings either or both to the country in the future.
