2023 Range Rover Sport arriving in PH this February

Nearly a year after it made its global debut, Land Rover Philippines is set to reveal its newest SUV in the market next month. Coming to local showrooms real soon is the all-new Range Rover Sport, which will be debuting on February 28, 2023.

Now on its third generation, the Range Rover Sport not only gets a sleeker and more dynamic appearance, but it's also packing more high-tech features both inside and out, while still retaining the brand's go-anywhere capability.

While it may not be as big as its Range Rover sibling, the Sport model can still go over harsh terrain with ease. In fact, the automaker claims it can take on 40-degree slopes and can wade through water as high as 900mm.

The interior, on the other hand, has a cockpit-style cabin that surrounds the driver with high-tech equipment like a 13.1-inch haptic touchscreen that's powered by the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. And depending on the model chosen, the 2023 Range Rover Sport can come with additional amenities like a 29-speaker sound system by Meridian, active noise cancellation, a wireless charging pad, and satellite navigation.

No official specifications are available yet for the 2023 Range Rover Sport. But based on what other markets get, there are a wide array of engines available. Starting with the gasoline motors, there's the 3.0-liter turbo inline-six that's available in two states of tune; 360 PS (P360) and 400 PS (P400). There's also the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that cranks out 530 PS (P530).

For those that still prefer a diesel engine under the hood, there's also the 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six with mild-hybrid tech. Like the 3.0 turbo-gasoline, it's also available in different states of tune; 250 PS (D250), 300 PS (D300), and 350 PS (D350).

Last but not least is a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder gasoline plug-in hybrid (PHEV). It's helped along by an electric motor that provides an additional 143 PS and has a total system output of 440 PS (P440e) or 510 PS (P510e). All powertrain options are connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission by ZF.
