2023 Porsche Macan now available with Touring package

The Porsche Macan may be heading towards an electric future, but that doesn’t mean the Stuttgart-based automaker is done with the current-generation model. Porsche has just revealed the 2023 Macan T, and it’s the first time the T badge has been used on the compact crossover.

Like the 911 and 718 T models, the new Touring variant of the Macan serves as a midrange offering that sits between the standard base model and the more powerful S variant. Unlike the entry-level version, the Macan T is lighter, has tweaked handling, as well as a wide array of performance upgrades.

Starting with the exterior, Porsche applied subtle changes to make the Macan T stand out. The side mirrors, side blades, spoiler, and front bumper garnish are painted Agate Gray. Meanwhile, the new sports tailpipes and side window trims are finished in high-gloss black. To remind everyone this is no ordinary Macan, the side blades feature the ‘Macan T’ logo finished in black. Last but not least, the crossover rolls on 20-inch Macan S wheels painted in Dark Titanium.

Inside, the Macan T is equipped with eight-way heated sport front seats with black leather upholstery. In addition, the front headrests feature an embossed Porsche crest along with decorative silver stitching on the seats, headrests, and steering wheel.

Other key features inside the Macan T include a GT heated sports steering wheel, a Sport Chrono stopwatch on the dashboard, 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment, and black aluminum door entry guards.

Under the hood, the Macan T has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It makes 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche says the Macan T can sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. It can also reach a top speed of 232 km/h.

In true Touring fashion, the Macan T comes exclusively with a specially tuned chassis that lowers the ride height by 15mm. In addition, the crossover is fitted with a steel suspension using Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Porsche claims that the anti-roll bars on the front axle are more rigid and the car’s chassis tuning has been optimized to create the perfect suspension for the vehicle and powertrain. The result is a very responsive steering behavior and agile handling.

For those who want a high-performance version of the Macan, the new Touring variant is a sporty-looking crossover that also delivers agile handling.
