2023 Lexus UX revealed for PH with all-hybrid lineup
The most affordable Lexus hybrid starts at PHP 3,058,000

Lexus continues to offer more electrified models for the Philippine market. What better way to broaden the appeal of hybrids than by offering its most affordable crossover as a hybrid model? That’s right, for 2023, the Lexus UX is now solely available with a hybrid powertrain.
Now called the UX 250h, the electrified crossover is available in two variants; Premier and the more aggressive F Sport. Both models are powered by a new 2.0-liter gasoline inline-four that’s helped along by two electric motors. Lexus says the hybrid system benefits from a new power control unit (PCU) that is more powerful yet 20% smaller and 10% lighter. More importantly, the smaller and lighter package reduced frictional loss by 25% which allows for smoother and more direct power delivery.

The result is a total system output of 184 PS along with a generous 188 Nm of torque between 4400 to 5200 rpm. The engine also benefits from Lexus’ D4-S fuel injection system which combines direct and multi-port injection for optimal combustion. A continuously variable capacity oil pump and a variable cooling system with an electric water pump contribute to ultra-low internal friction, further optimizing engine performance and fuel efficiency. Power is then sent to a CVT that drives the front wheels and comes with paddle shifters.
Like most of Lexus’ (and Toyota’s) hybrids, the UX 250h comes with the brand’s tried-and-tested nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery pack placed underneath the rear seats. It comes with a built-in cooling system and is designed to help give the vehicle a lower center of gravity. For better peace of mind, the battery is covered by an 8-year HEV battery warranty aside from the regular 3-year/100,000km warranty for the vehicle itself.

When it comes to in-car features, the UX 250h has plenty. It gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker sound system, a full-leather interior, smart keyless entry, an 8-inch multi-info display, power tilt/telescopic steering column, automatic climate control, power tailgate with kick motion sensor, and driver seat memory function.
Available only on the UX 250h F Sport is the brand’s innovative Lexus Safety Sense. This gives the crossover a suite of intelligent driver aids that include; Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Alert and Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Intelligent High-Beam Headlamps, and Adaptive High-Beam System.

Other safety systems present on the UX 250h are; anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, traction and stability controls, hill-start assist, blind-spot monitor, and a host of airbags.

Pricing for the 2023 Lexus UX 250h is as follows:
UX 250h Premier - PHP 3,058,000
UX 250h F Sport - PHP 3,798,000
