2023 Lexus RX SUV coming this June
Lexus teases all-new RX crossover ahead of June 1 launch

Lexus may be on its way towards electrification with the release of the RZ last month, but they're far from being done with their combustion-powered models.
The Japanese luxury manufacturer has released a teaser image of the all-new Lexus RX SUV, which will have its official world reveal on June 1. The new RX will replace the outgoing fourth-generation model that debuted in 2015.
Toyota's luxury brand only showed us a glimpse of the fifth-generation RX's front fascia. Following the new design language, the spindle grille is significantly less pronounced than the outgoing model.
Compared to the all-electric RZ, the RX's grille features slots to cool the combustion engine and is flanked by a pair of LED headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights. In addition, the upcoming RX features a larger side intake instead of the vertical ones seen on the RZ.
Other parts of the new SUV were not shown. However, we should expect the RX to look very close to the RZ in terms of its overall profile and appearance, albeit with some tweaks to minor details just to have a distinction between the two models.
Lexus is also tight-lipped when it comes to engine options of the new RX. But following industry trends nowadays, we won't be surprised if the SUV would have its naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 replaced by a smaller turbocharged engine. Moreover, we can expect it to continue to be available with a hybrid powertrain.
All those questions, of course, will be answered once the 2023 Lexus RX makes its official debut on June 1, 9:00 AM Japan time. Are you excited about the launch of the all-new Lexus RX? Let us know in the comments.
