2023 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato has 1.7-inch lift

After confirming its existence a couple of weeks ago, Lamborghini has officially revealed the all-new Huracan Sterrato. Designed to go off-road while still delivering supercar performance, the 2023 Huracan Sterrato is the first all-terrain supercar powered by a V10 with all-wheel drive as claimed by The House of The Raging Bull.

Presenting the car at Art Basel in Miami reflects how, just like an avant-garde work of art, the Sterrato represents a radical and original interpretation of the super sports car concept but, in terms of performance, the Sterrato belongs in the world’s most dynamic and exciting driving environments,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman, and CEO of Lamborghini.

Beginning with the most obvious, the Sterrato sits higher than most Lamborghinis thanks to a bespoke suspension setup. Compared to the Huracan EVO, ground clearance has been increased by 44mm, giving the Huracan Sterrato a 1.7-inch lift. More than that, the front and rear tracks of the suspension have been widened by 30mm and 34mm, respectively. Giving its undercarriage added protection from the terrain comes in the form of an aluminum underbody, reinforced sills, and a sturdier rear diffuser and wheel arches.

At the heart of the Huracan Sterrato is the venerable 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine that cranks out 610 PS and 560 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission complete with a self-locking rear differential. Since the powertrain and drivetrain have been optimized for unpaved surfaces, Lamborghini claims the Sterrato can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 km/h. While its top speed may be lower than its road-going counterparts, do remember that this particular Huracan can go where no other Lamborghini can.

To help the Raging Bull shave off speed as quickly as possible, Lamborghini installed aluminum fixed monoblock calipers with six pistons in the front and four pistons in the rear. On the other hand, the rotors are cross-drilled and made from carbon ceramic for easier cooling. The front discs measure 380mm and are 38mm thick while the rear set is 356mm in diameter and 32mm thick.

Giving the Huracan Sterrato its traction comes from bespoke Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires wrapped in 19-inch wheels. The front tires measure 235/40 while the rear tires are 285/40. For extra peace of mind, Lamborghini says the Bridgestone rubber comes with run-flat technology to allow drivers to reach speeds of up to 80 km/h despite having 0 tire pressure.

Production of the 2023 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato will begin in February 2023. Moreover, only 1,499 units of the high-riding bull will be made in total. Compared to the Porsche 911 Dakar which will be limited to 2,500 units, the Huracan Sterrato will be an even rarer sight to see on public roads.
