2023 Hyundai Creta scores perfect five stars in ASEAN NCAP
2023 Hyundai Creta gets certified five-star rating in latest ASEAN NCAP tests

Together with the all-new Stargazer 7-seat MPV, the Hyundai Creta crossover is one of the brand's latest models in the ASEAN region. And since every new model that comes out worldwide is required to undertake the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), the Creta was also put to the test.
We recently reported that the all-new Stargazer scored four out of five stars, but this time, the Hyundai crossover fared a lot better and scored a perfect five stars across assessments in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assists, and Motorcyclist Safety (MS).
Based on ASEAN NCAP data, the Creta provided good protection to adult occupants in the frontal impact test while side impact protection was satisfactory for the Hyundai crossover. With that said, the Creta scored 34.72 out of 40 in adult occupant protection.
Moving on to child occupant protection, the Creta scored high marks in the impact tests, as well as ease of child seat installation on its ISOFIX anchors, resulting in a score of 15.56 out of 20.

Since the Creta has variants fitted with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or ADAS, the crossover scored 14.08 out of 20 in its standard safety assist features. The model has a standard fitment of electronic stability control (ESC), an anti-lock braking system (ABS), seatbelt reminder (SBR) for frontal occupants, and pedestrian protection technology in all its variants.
Moreover, the 5-seater crossover offers blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert, which helps in motorcycle collision avoidance. This feature netted the Creta 11.42 out of 20 in the Motorcyclist Safety assessment.
Overall, the Hyundai Creta garnered 75.78 out of 100, resulting in a five-star rating in the 2021-2025 ASEAN NCAP tests.
With the Creta being one of the most attractive crossovers in the market today, the ASEAN NCAP tests have proven it's one of the safest as well.
