2023 Honda BR-V roaming PH roads ahead of launch

Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) has announced they're launching the all-new BR-V on November 21; now that's around three weeks away. But apparently, the 7-seater crossover is already getting a feel of its new home – the Philippine roads.

Car enthusiast Marion Franco has spotted the all-new BR-V somewhere in South Luzon already wearing its license plates. As far as we know, Honda PH dealerships are only accepting reservations for the meantime, leading us to think the BR-V spotted could be an HCPI-owned unit. If anything, this could be the same unit that was previewed back in the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show.

Aside from its new design, the all-new BR-V is coming in the PH market offering more high-tech features, most notably the Honda Sensing advanced driver assist system. Powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine paired to a CVT or 6-speed manual, the all-new BR-V shares the same powerplant with the City (and City Hatchback), as well as the the base S variant of the all-new HR-V.

HCPI already announced the all-new BR-V will be offered in four variants: the 1.5 S M/T, 1.5 S CVT, 1.5 V CVT, and 1.5 VX CVT, with indicative prices starting at PHP 1.1-million.

In terms of color options, all variants of the new BR-V will be available with Lunar Silver Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic. Meanwhile, available only in the S CVT and S M/T is Tafetta White. Those who like their BR-Vs in Crystal Black Pearl can have them in the V CVT and S CVT models. Lastly, special color options for the BR-V include Premium Opal White Silver and Platinum White Pearl, which can be availed for an additional PHP 20,000 in the SRP for VX CVT and V CVT variants.
