2023 Ford GT Mk IV is a USD 1.7M track-only machine

Fans of the Ford GT who have wanted to get the ultimate track-oriented version of the hugely-popular halo car can now rejoice. The Blue Oval has just revealed the 2023 GT Mk IV, and it's got all of the essentials for delivering the highest levels of performance, handling, and aerodynamics.

Representing the most extreme track-only version of the GT, the new Mk IV by Ford Performance and Multimatic comes with a souped-up twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, a fully-redesigned carbon fiber body with a longer wheelbase and added aerodynamic bits, as well as a long-tail configuration. Not only that, the Mk IV gets a massive wing and diffuser at the back, along with aerodynamic wheel covers which further help in keeping the vehicle grounded at high speeds.

The lower nose features NACA-style vents while the wider fenders have been specifically designed to add more room for cooling intakes. Other neat exterior upgrades present on the Ford GT Mk IV include large dual exhausts, a vented engine cover, and a stretched rear bumper.

Hiding underneath its aggressive body is a tuned 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 that Ford claims is capable of producing over 800 PS. Power is then sent to what the automaker calls a “proper gearbox” although Ford has yet to say what type of transmission is bolted to the V6. Complementing the powerful six-cylinder plant is Multimac's very own Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) suspension system.

“The original GT Mk IV held nothing back for max track performance, and the new Ford GT Mk IV brings it in the same way. With an even higher level of motorsport engineering and performance, plus a completely new carbon fiber body that is functional and striking, the Mk IV is the ultimate sendoff of the third-generation supercar,” said Mark Rushbrook, Global Director of Ford Performance Motorsports.

As a way to honor the original Mk IV racecar that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967, only 67 examples of the 2023 Ford GT Mk IV will be built by Multimac. With a limited number of units to be built and an eye-watering USD 1.7 million price tag (about PHP 94.885 million), only a select few will be able to get their hands on this track-only Ford GT.
