Changan PH launches 2023 UNI-K crossover in its National HQ inauguration

Changan Motor Philippines Inc (CMPI) is capping off the year 2022 with the inauguration of its new National Headquarters in Calamba, Laguna. As an added surprise, the brand has launched its new flagship crossover, the UNI-K.
The 2023 UNI-K is one of two new crossovers Changan introduced to "set a bold new standard" using the brand's latest avant-garde Vision V design language.

Starting off with its looks, the UNI-K features a borderless front grille with a hexagonal pattern design. It is flanked by a pair of sharp-looking "Starship" headlights with Trident DRLs. Meanwhile, the side profile sees its door handles neatly flush with the panels. Its low roof shares the same appeal as that of the Lamborghini Urus and houses the massive 21-inch wheels. Round the back, the rear spoiler also adopted the twin high-mount stop lamps we first saw on the CS55 Plus crossover.

Inside, the UNI-K shares similarities with the CS55 Plus with the two-screen and compact steering wheel layout. The interior is finished in black leather with red contrast stitching, while other amenities include a 12-speaker Sony sound system and voice control for the infotainment functions.

The Changan UNI-K is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged Blue Core TGDi engine that puts out 232 PS and 390 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels with optional 2WD mode.

In terms of safety features and intelligent driving systems, the UNI-K has the full suite of Changan's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or ADAS, which consists of automatic emergency braking, integrated adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, forward collision warning, and rear cross-traffic alert, among others.
The 2023 Changan UNI-K is now available for indent orders at all Changan dealerships and retails for PHP 2.719 million.
