2022 Lexus LX 600 gets the full JAOS package
Lexus reveals rugged LX600 modified by off-road tuner JAOS

Following the launch of the new Lexus LX in Japan, Toyota’s in-house tuner Modellista also released a kit for the luxury SUV. The Modellista kit for the LX further enhances the SUV’s already luxurious design with front and rear bumper extensions along with a new set of 22-inch wheels.
But if the sportier look isn’t your thing, then maybe you’ll like what Japanese off-road tuning house JAOS has in store for the new Lexus LX.

JAOS has teamed up with Lexus to create the LX600 “Offroad” version. Compared to the standard LX, the changes are quite subtle. That’s because JAOS didn’t go over the top in modifying the LX. Instead, they’ve decided to add a few bits and pieces to complete the SUV’s looks. However, they’re enough to give the luxury SUV a more rugged look and feel.

Compared to the standard LX, JAOS blacked out the front grille, door handles, and most of the chrome exterior trim, making the SUV look more aggressive. To protect the under chassis, carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) front and rear skid plates were installed. A set of CFRP overfenders further adds ruggedness, and it’s topped off with 20-inch JAOS Tribe Cross wheels wrapped in chunky Toyo Open Country A/T tires. JAOS mudflaps on all corners and a muffler tip complete the exterior makeover.

No images of the SUV’s interior were shown. However, we suspect it remains largely unchanged. It’s the same with the engine. For reference, the LX600 is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 415 PS and 650 Nm torque and is paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Like its Toyota sibling, the Land Cruiser, the LX also comes with loads of tech and features that allow it to go off-road.
What do you think of this rugged version of the LX? Do you like it better than the sporty Modellista kit? Let us know in the comments.
