2022 Changan CS35 Plus can do 21.49 km/l
AAP puts the CS35 Plus to the test in highways and urban routes

With sky-high oil prices, fuel efficiency is a major factor nowadays when choosing a new vehicle.
That being said, Changan's latest SUV offering, the New CS35 Plus, was put to a fuel economy test by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) and achieved impressive fuel efficiency ratings.
AAP used control measures such as filling the tank to the brim with 95 octane fuel before and after runs, tire pressures at 2.2 bar, air-conditioning at full cold with the lowest blower setting, and the radio turned off.

Afterwards, the sanctioning body took the CS35 Plus along NLEX from Balagtas to Tarlac City and back to record its highway fuel economy rating. Covering a distance of 180 kilometers, the test saw the SUV run at around 60 to 80km/h. At the end of the test, the Changan CS35 Plus only consumed 8.408 liters of fuel, resulting to a fuel efficiency figure of 21.49 km/l.
In addition, AAP also tested the CS35 Plus' fuel economy in city driving conditions. They drove for 86.8 kilometers along major thoroughfares in Metro Manila where the SUV consumed 5.69 liters of gas, resulting in an urban fuel consumption rating of 15.25 km/l.
With its 1.4-liter turbocharged GDI engine that puts out 160 PS and 260 Nm of torque, the Changan CS35 Plus yielded above-average fuel consumption figures. Thanks to Changan's Blue Core technology, the internal combustion system is optimized to reduce fuel consumption by 20%. In addition, carbon emissions are cut by 40% without compromising performance.
