2017 Isuzu D-Max X-Series launched in the Philippines
2017 X-Series line gives the Isuzu D-Max a sportier look

Isuzu starts 2017 with the expansion of the D-Max model range. Dubbed the X-Series, the new package gives the pick-up a more aggressive, sportier look. Isuzu describes the X-Series as “the perfect lifestyle vehicle for young and dynamic families”.

Starting with the front, the D-Max X-Series gains a gun-metal finish grill which is complemented by a bold, red Isuzu badge. Also differentiating the D-Max X-Series from the standard line-up is a functional front skirt that is also highlighted by red striping. Towards the rear, it gains a cargo spoiler fitted on top of the bed. The D-Max X-Series rides on 18-inch alloy wheels that are exclusive to this variant. There are three color options to choose from for the D-Max X Series, namely Splash White, Venetian Red and Cosmic Black.

Changes were also made to the interior to further separate it from the LS variants. Matching the red accents on the exterior is red stitching on black leather seats. Special X-Series stitching is also seen on the backrests of the front seats. On top of that, there is the piano black trim on various surfaces.
Powering the D-Max X-Series is the familiar 4JJI-TC (HI) turbodiesel engine. The four-cylinder, 3.0-liter Common Rail Direct Injection mill produces 163 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic with sequential shift. The D-Max X-Series is exclusively a 4x2 model and Electronic Stability Control is standard.

Isuzu has also partnered with sports performance brand, Under Armour, as a special treat to their customers. Every purchase of the D-Max X-Series comes with a selection of Under Armour products that surely fits their active lifestyle. Customers can choose from a collection of sports polo, streaker or coolswitch shirts; Golf towel, sports cap, sack pack and duffel bag.
“With the arrival of the new D-Max X-Series, the model now addresses the lifestyle mobility requirement of active and urbane families too. So now, no other pickup truck available in the local market can offer the combination of utility, reliability, versatility and high style that the D-Max X-Series does,” said Hajime Koso, president of Isuzu Philippines Corporation.
