Philippine auto sales may have missed the 500,000 mark in 2024, but it did outperform other markets with a 7.58% gain to achieve 475,094 vehicles sold.
Heres is our highly anticipated list of the 10 best-selling car models for 2024. Compiled from industry sales figures, this year's list reveals a diverse mix of vehicles resonating with Filipino car buyers.
If you just read our recently published annual vehicle sales feature, it will not be surprising to know that top 10 comprises Toyota and Mitsubishi models.

The ever-popular Toyota Vios subcompact sedan maintains its stronghold with a commanding lead at 43,636 units sold. This improved from 37,971 units last year. Its reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, and affordability resonates with a broad spectrum of consumers.

Following closely behind is the dependable Toyota Hilux, securing its position as the second best-selling model with 26,643 units sold. The pickup truck's robust build and versatility make it a favorite among businesses and individuals. It improved its position from 25,928 units the previous year.

In third place is the Mitsubishi Mirage G4, another strong contender from the subcompact sedan category, boasting 26,313 units sold. Its fuel-efficient engine and practical features appeal to budget-conscious buyers. The Mirage cemented its third position from 23,400 units the previous year.

The fourth spot belongs to the Mitsubishi Xpander, a versatile seven-seater MPV that garnered 26,242 units sold. Its spacious interior and family-friendly features make it a popular choice for growing families. The Xpander improved on its 2023 figure of 22,509 units.

Making a significant jump to fifth place is the Toyota Wigo, a small hatchback that offers exceptional value for money. With 18,103 units sold, it attracts first-time car buyers and those looking for an economical city car. The Wigo placed 8th in 2023 with 14,676 units sold.

Sliding down to sixth is the Toyota Raize, a subcompact SUV that captured the hearts of many Filipinos with its modern design and practicality. It achieved a commendable sales figure of 18,024 units. The Raize improved on its 17,504 figure from 2023 but was bested by its stablemate the Wigo.

Stepping down to seventh place is the reliable Toyota Innova, a multi-purpose vehicle known for its spaciousness and durability. It garnered 17,648 units sold, continuing its legacy as a trusted family vehicle.

Making it back to our top 10 and securing the eighth spot is the Toyota Avanza, another popular MPV known for its affordability and practicality. It achieved sales of 17,489 units. The last time the Avanza was on this list was in 2017.

Sliding down two spots to ninth position is the Toyota Hiace, a versatile van favored by businesses and families for its passenger and cargo-hauling capabilities. It sold 15,744 units.

Making it back to the top 10 is the Mitsubishi L300, a stalwart in the commercial vehicle segment. Its reliability and cargo capacity make it a preferred choice for businesses, achieving sales of 13,939 units. The last time the L300 was on the list was in 2021.
