1 of 750: Porsche PH showcases special edition 911 Targa 4 GTS
911 Targa 4 GTS celebrates 50 years of Porsche Design

In 1972, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the original designer of the 911 sports car, envisioned a company that would carry the principles and spirit of Porsche that goes beyond the boundaries of the automobile. Together with his brother Hans-Peter, they founded Porsche Design.
50 years later, Porsche Design has become an internationally renowned premium lifestyle brand that's known to produce products that are aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and durable.

To celebrate the lifestyle brand's golden anniversary and Porsche Philippines' 27th year in the country, exclusive distributor PGA Cars showcased the 911 Targa 4 GTS 50 Years Porsche Design Edition.
The special edition model was unveiled along with an art exhibit from Imahica Art Gallery, showing the relationship between Porsche being a brand known for making automotive works of art.
And indeed, the 911 Targa 4 GTS 50 Years Porsche Edition is truly a collectible one. Based on the standard 911 Targa 4 GTS, the 50 Years Porsche Edition receives bespoke elements both inside and out with, of course, an increase in performance.

The commemorative 911 Targa 4 GTS shows references of F.A. Porsche's first Porsche Design product, the 1972 Chronograph 1 wristwatch. It is exclusively available in black, and the signature Targa bar is finished in satin platinum. Other exterior elements include a special Porsche Design decorative foil, exclusive badges on the rear lid grille and the 911 logo finished in flat black.

Inside, the 911 Targa 4 GTS gets premium leather seats with the headrests having an embossed Porsche Design 50th anniversary emblems, similar to the ones found on the door sills. On the dashboard, the signature Sport Chrono Package clock has its second hand painted in red, reminiscent of the Chronograph 1 wrist watch. There's also a silver commemorative badge found on the dashboard, which shows the limited edition number. Lastly, F.A. Porsche's signature is embossed on the center console.

In terms of performance, the 911 Targa 4 GTS is powered by a 3.0-liter, flat six turbo engine that puts out 480 PS and 570 Nm of torque on all four wheels, and it's paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that Porsche calls the PDK.

Porsche used the same braking system of the 911 Turbo for the special edition Targa 4 GTS. And as such, it is wearing the Turbo S' 20-inch front and 21-inch rear center lock wheels finished in satin platinum.
Worldwide, the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS 50 Years Porsche Design Edition is only limited to 750 units, and the model showcased at PGA Cars is the only one in the country.
