Provincial buses allowed to travel on EDSA during Holy Week
Commuters headings to the provinces will be able to catch a bus ride home easier next week
Don't be surprised to see provincial buses plying along EDSA starting next week.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) recently announced that they have allowed provincial buses to travel along EDSA to accommodate the expected influx of passengers heading to the provinces during Holy Week.
From April 3 to April 5, the provincial buses will be allowed on EDSA from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. And from April 6 to April 10, the provincial buses are allowed to ply along EDSA 'round the clock.
Provincial buses coming from North Luzon will have to terminate their trips at the bus terminals in Cubao, Quezon City. On the other hand, buses coming from South Luzon shall end their trips at the bus terminals in Pasay City.
With provincial buses set to traverse EDSA starting April 3, commuters that plan to spend the Holy Week in the provinces will be able to catch a ride faster and easier. Meanwhile, motorists are advised to take note of the possibility of traffic buildup near provincial bus terminals.
