Hyundai PH turns over 15 modern PUVs to Sorsogon
BULTRASCO receives 15 new modern PUVs from Hyundai Asia Resources Inc

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), through authorized dealer Hyundai Trucks and Buses Alabang (HTB Alabang), successfully turned over 15 units of Class 3 HD50S Modern PUVs to the Bulusan Transport Service Cooperative (BULTRASCO) last April 18, 2022.
With the theme “Sulong at Sama-Sama sa Isang Adhikain para sa Modernong Transportasyon na Napapanahon,” the event started at the Sorsogon Integrated Terminal Exchange (SITEX) in Sorsogon City with a short send-off program and motorcade followed by the formal turnover at Bulusan Terminal an hour away from the provincial capital.
The newly released Hyundai Modern PUV units are earmarked to serve the coastal towns of Bulusan, Barcelona, Gubat, and Sorsogon City by providing efficient, comfortable, safe, and environmental-friendly transportation to locals and tourists alike.

Present during the launch event were Bulusan Mayor Hon. Michael G. Guysayko, Regional Director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region V PMGen. Antonio N. Gardiola, Jr., Office of Transportation Cooperatives (OTC) Executive Director Eugene M. Pabualan, BULTRASCO Chairman Santiago Galve II, representatives from HARI and HTB Alabang, and guests from the local government and business partners.
Mayor Guysayko expressed optimism that the presence of Hyundai Modern PUVs will boost tourism in Sorsogon by providing safe and reliable access to the province’s famed tourist attractions. For his part, Director Gardiola commended BULTRASCO for its commitment to providing the province with comfortable and reliable public transportation. He also encourages other local transport groups to join the movement and experience its benefits.

“Our Hyundai Modern PUV is a testament to our continuing mission of developing the transport sector through quality people movers that in turn upgrade the quality of lives of drivers and commuters alike. Further, the Hyundai Modern PUV is a symbol of Filipino ingenuity, built with the diligence, skills, reliability, and determination of Filipinos working for the advancement of Filipinos,” said Ma. Fe
BULTRASCO is the 4th transport cooperative beneficiary of the PUV Modernization program in the entire Bicol Region. Earlier, in 2020, a fleet of 23 Hyundai Modern PUVs was turned over to the Tabaco-Legazpi Transport Cooperative (TALETRANSCO) of Albay province.
Since the inception of the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program or PUVMP in 2017, HARI has been a firm supporter of the national goal to modernize transportation, sustaining the momentum even at the height of the pandemic. In 2021, the company turned over close to 500 modern PUV units to various local transport cooperatives across the country. This year, HARI aims to touch base with more key cities and provinces.
