GV Florida to sue 'racing bus' video uploader, DOTr vows legal protection
GV Florida bus claims video 'misleading'

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has publicly committed to protecting and providing legal assistance to the individual who uploaded a viral video depicting multiple GV Florida Transport, Inc. buses allegedly "racing" on a highway in Cagayan. This assurance comes in response to GV Florida Transport, Inc.’s announcement that it intends to file cases against the uploader.

DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon
According to Atty. Alexander Versoza, legal counsel for GV Florida Transport, Inc., the company will initiate legal proceedings against Carlo Carbonel—the person who uploaded the video showing multiple buses from the said company doing reckless ‘racing’ along the national highway. The bus firm claims Carbonel’s video, which went viral, was posted with ‘malicious’ intent. The bus company also added that “We are committed to safety. This misleading video puts our image at risk.”
The DOTr reaffirmed its commitment to protecting individuals who report abuses within the transportation sector. Transportation Secretary, Vince Dizon, personally conveyed this assurance to the uploader of the racing Florida buses video, stating, “You have nothing to fear because the entire DOTr is behind you.”
The agency strongly encourages the public to continue reporting and submitting videos of abusive and reckless drivers to the DOTr, as it is committed to holding negligent drivers and operators accountable.
