Foton PH flexes EV pickup, modern jeepney at 2024 LTO Motorshow
The Foton EV Thunder pickup and F29 Modern Jeepney were showcased at this year's LTO Motorshow

Fresh from its spectacular showcase at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) at the World Trade Center, commercial vehicle specialist Foton was at it again with an exhibit at the recently concluded LTO Motorshow which ran from April 16 to 19 at the LTO East Avenue head office.
At the show, Foton Philippines showcased its groundbreaking new Thunder EV pure electric pickup truck as well as its F29 Modern Jeepney. First shown during this year's MIAS, the Thunder EV pickup truck comes with an 88.5 kWh battery pack and supports DC fast charging which can recharge the vehicle in as little as 1.5 hours.

On a full charge, the Thunder EV pickup can cover up to 536 km and has a standard cargo-carrying capacity of 915 kg. No output figures were revealed although it's highly likely similar to what the Aucan turbo-diesel engine generates, if not more.
The other vehicle shown is the F29 Modern Jeepney which is powered by a 3.8-liter Cummins turbo-diesel engine. It makes 154 PS with 500 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It also has modern features like an automated fare collection system, a multi-camera system, and side-facing doors for easier ingress/egress.

“We are proud to have been part of the LTO Motorshow 2024, which enabled us to showcase the world-class quality, design, and technology of our fully electric FOTON Thunder EV trucks and F29 Modern Jeepneys,” said Donabel Santos, Foton Motor Philippines Inc. AVD for Sales Operations.
Through the LTO Motorshow, Foton was able to deliver its message of support for every Filipino individual and entrepreneur involved in the business of world-class transportation and mobility. The brand offers a complete customer experience ecosystem through innovative after-sales programs such as the 24/7 EC Mobile that no other brands provide.

“Technology and dependability are crucial key drivers to a nation's progress and growth. FOTON delivers the perfect combination of both qualities and adds value for money to deliver maximum benefits to any business involved in mobility, transportation, and logistics,” said CJ del Mundo, Foton Motor Philippines Inc.
