It was a very hot day at the Carmona Circuit indeed. Exciting race action went all the way during fourth leg of the Shell Super Kart Series. Top racers and teams vied for top championship points in their respective classes as point standings get closer. In the Formula A race, early race leader Pepon Marave of Demvels Racing Team was a victim of a mechanical plague with his kart as he lost his lead after slowing down due to a loose accelerator cable. After going into the pits to have the problem remedied, Marave again went out for a few more laps only to have his cable bracket to break which resulted in his retirement from the race.
After taking over the lead with Marave's unscheduled pit stop, Jinky Cabalinan worked to keep his lead and further extend it as Bogs Mayo followed in second followed by Mon Tanjuatco and Manuel Sy.
In the Yamaha KT-Heavy race, Victor Yap of Demvels won by a margin of 10 seconds over his opponents to take the checkered. He ran the fastest laptime of 50.870 seconds. Edgar Quesada of Kart1 came in second place while Jerome Montemayor came in third, Tim Gosnel in fourth and Ronaldo Añasco in fifth.
