Sunday Special: Ever Since celebrates Year 8 with Anniversary Meet
Ever Since holds Year 8 Anniversary Meet at Ayala Malls Manila Bay

If you’ve had a long week, there’s nothing better than having a laid-back day that’s all about having a good time in the company of friends and family. Throw in some chill music, some nice cars, and a little raffle draw for fun, and you get a picture of what went down on last Sunday’s Ever Since Year 8 Anniversary Meet.
Sure, the rainy weather wasn’t exactly part of the plan. Still, the vibe at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay rooftop parking lot was what Mr. Ever Since himself, Jerome Monastrial, has always envisioned in the years leading up to hosting his very first car meet.

For the last 8 years, the Ever Since brand has been present in almost every event that showcases the local car culture. You see it being worn by the people attending the meets, and whether it’s an exotic, classic, or Japanese tuner car, there’s a good chance you’d find one with an Ever Since sticker on.

From the Japanese Kaido racer graphics to the Yashicat mascots, and that red bee with the peace sign, a lot of people have grown to love what the Ever Since brand has brought to the table with every limited product release. And since they rarely do design reruns, people really had to catch ‘em like rare Pokemons.
It’s nice how the Ever Since Year 8 Anniversary Meet brought a lot of enthusiasts together for one big celebration. You see it in the cars present at the event that they weren’t following a particular theme or a build. It’s where you appreciate the individuality and creativity of the people who built their rides using their own rules.

That couldn’t be much more profound with BanaweBoy’s Little Tikes-themed Suzuki Jimny, and the RWB Porsche 911 – two completely different builds but both well-executed.

In one area of the parking lot, you have rear-wheel-drive sports cars such as the Subaru BRZ, Mazda MX-5, Nissan 370Z, and there’s even a BMW M2 wearing the brand’s signature M colors for its livery.

Of course, there’s also a good number of Toyota Yaris hatchbacks at the meet, including Jerome’s own Toyota Yaris RS2 with the Modellista kit and 16-inch Enkei NT03s.

Ever Since takes a great deal of inspiration from old-school Japanese cars, and in the meet it was well represented with cars like the Mitsubishi Lancer Boxtype, and Buzzhype’s Toyota Cressida.

The Year 8 Anniversary Meet wasn’t just about the cars present either. Local artists such as Nero Metro, Pure Mind Quiet Heart, Ruijikun, and Rjay Ty entertained the crowd with their music. Food and drinks from various booths were also set up while limited edition products such as Ever Since anniversary shirts, shift knobs from Shiroku, and car floor mats from Loowy Manila were sold exclusively at the meet.

At the end of the day, the Ever Since Year 8 Anniversary Meet was a way of saying thank you to the people who have supported the brand since 2016. Onwards and forwards for Year 9.
