Victory Liner offers ‘free’ bus rent amid fuel crisis
You only pay for diesel, driver and conductor wages

As of this writing, diesel prices are averaging just PHP 40 to PHP 30 short of hitting PHP 200 per liter. At this staggering rate, the transport sector, which is heavily dependent on diesel, is among the hardest hit.
A lot of jeepney drivers have stopped making trips as soaring diesel costs often leave them with little to no earnings. Meanwhile, some bus companies, including Victory Liner, have announced reductions in their daily trip schedules to cut fuel expenses.

Recognizing the economic impact of reduced operations on drivers and conductors, Victory Liner has proposed a practical solution: “free” bus rentals to companies for use as shuttle services.
“In a time of rising fuel costs, businesses and workers need solutions—not disruptions,” said Victory Liner through its official social media page.
Victory Liner is offering companies “free” bus rentals to serve as shuttle services. While the buses come at no charge, companies are responsible for covering diesel and the daily allowances of drivers and conductors. By “allowance,” we assume that the company means wages.
The move, Victory Liner says, is its way of embodying the bayanihan spirit by helping businesses stay operational, protecting jobs, and ensuring every Filipino worker can get to work with dignity.
Though not entirely free, the initiative provides a much-needed relief and cost savings amid the current fuel crisis, offering a practical, win-win solution for companies needing professional shuttle services.
