After several rounds of competition, Luis Moreno, Enzo Ison, and Russel Reyes secured the top three spots of the 2024 Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Philippines National Finals. Introduced in 2020, the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Philippines is the country’s premier e-motorsports tournament that continues to gather the fastest e-racers from all over the Philippines. The top three winners go on to represent Team Philippines at the upcoming TGR GT Cup 2024 Asia Finals.

As Team Philippines, Luis, Enzo, and Russel will face tough competition from fellow e-racers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. It promises to be a challenge of a lifetime as they push their driving skills and race strategies on the virtual racetracks. Apart from besting other Asian countries, their victory also means representing the whole of Asia for the much bigger TGR GT Cup Global Finals 2024. It’s like what Toyota Gazoo Racing is all about, pushing the limits for better.


Taking center stage at the SM Mall of Asia, the just concluded TGR GT Cup Philippines National Finals turned out to be a thrilling live event, attracting quite a huge crowd. Starting with 40 participants, the semifinal rounds eventually narrowed it down to the top 10 finalists. With everyone feeling the pressure, the top ten E-racers drove with conviction and pushed each other’s capabilities on the virtual racetracks. Each driver randomly faced his opponent after being placed in different batches utilizing three different tracks with three different cars for three race heats. Once the races were finally over, the official results showed Luis Moreno emerge as the TGR GT Cup PH 2024 Champion with 75 points, Enzo Ison in 2nd place with 48 points, and Russel Reyes in 3rd place with 45 points.

Luis Moreno
First placer Luis Moreno is no stranger to E-racing, having already won the TGR GT Cup championship title in 2021. He’s a video gaming creator and has been sim racing for more than 10 years. In fact, Luis is a professional E-Sports Racing Driver for Legion of Racers.

Enzo Ison

He may be young, but his racing background is already piling up. For starters, Enzo was the Junior Class champion of the TGR GT Cup Philippines in 2023. When he’s not busy e-racing, he can be seen competing in an actual racecar in various forms of motorsports having been a graduate of Raceform which is a performance and racing school.

 

Russel Reyes

Russel Reyes is a seasoned e-racer that has competed and won championship sim racing events since 2020 and placed 6th during the TGR GT Cup Asia Finals in 2022. When Russel’s not busy sim racing, he’s also a professional SIM racing coach where he lends his expertise in making others go faster. Currently, Russel is also competing in the Novice Class of the 2024 TGR Philippine Cup.

 

From playing car racing video games at home for fun to professional virtual sim racing, these enthusiastic young individuals have taken their talent and interest in cars and motorsports to another level. Being the top three winners, they get to enjoy cash prizes, autocross seats and Gazoo Racing merch. More importantly, they will proudly represent the Philippines in the Asia Finals of the TGR GT Cup.

This E-motorsports tournament by Toyota Motor Philippines aims to make the thrill of motorsports more accessible to more Filipino racing fans. Joining the tournament is free and open to all Filipinos 14 years old and above. What’s more, this proves that anyone with a keen interest in motorsports can try their hand at sim racing and become the next generation to represent the country in the TGR GT Cup Global Finals, turning racing aspirations into reality.
