New and Fresh: How Mitsubishi spruced up the Mirage G4
The 2026 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is proof that small sedans can evolve with the times

When it comes to vehicle ownership, things like consistency, durability, reliability, and efficiency matter. Since buying a brand-new vehicle is a huge investment, you want to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Enter the Mitsubishi Mirage G4, a four-door sedan that’s spacious, fuel-efficient, and stands as proof that steady simplicity is a great thing. For the 2026 model year, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) decided to give the Mirage G4 a brand new groove, thanks to several upgrades that also make it a safer vehicle that delivers peace of mind while on the road.

New Illumination
Seeing better at night is a must, and Mitsubishi gave the Mirage G4 LED illumination for its latest update. The sedan now comes with LED projector headlights as well as LED taillights. These provide better visibility at night with lower energy consumption. The new lights also give the sedan a more stylish and dynamic look for extra zing.

The LED headlights feature a more prominent and dynamic design, while the LED taillights get a sportier and more eye-catching look. The result is better nighttime visibility for both the driver and the other motorists.
New Wheels
Just like when you buy new shoes, Mitsubishi also gave the Mirage G4 a new set of alloy wheels. Instead of just giving it a simple design, Mitsubishi went the extra mile and equipped the refreshed sedan with 15-inch two-tone machine-finished alloy wheels.

Combined with the updated headlights and taillights, the new wheel design breathes new life into the budget-friendly sedan. What's even better is the fact that the all-new wheels are available across the lineup.

New Safety
Having a well-equipped sedan also means you have to give it plenty of safety features. The 2026 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is already available with dual airbags and anti-lock brakes (ABS) as standard across the range. Higher-grade models also come with other niceties such as a reverse camera for added rear visibility.

For 2026, Mitsubishi decided to give the Mirage G4 additional safety tech in the form of hill-start assist (HSA) and active stability control (ASC). With these enhancements, drivers can have peace of mind when driving up steep hills or taking on wet roads with confidence without slipping or sliding. Like the dual airbags and ABS, the new hill-start assist and active stability control come as standard across all variants of the Mirage G4.
Proven Practicality and Efficiency
Saving on fuel is perhaps one of the best features of the Mitsubishi Mirage G4. While the sedan has gone through several changes and updates, all remains the same under the hood thanks to the 1.2L three-cylinder MIVEC engine. It continues to make 78 PS with 100 Nm of torque and can be mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an INVECS-III CVT.

Based on a fuel economy test simulated by MMPC under the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 was able to achieve an impressive 22.8 km/L. With that kind of fuel efficiency, the Mirage G4 can save you trips to the pumps and allow you to cover more distances.

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is a proven fuel-efficient platform that is easy to maintain for those who want a value-packed sedan that will continue to be a staple on Philippine roads. With the 2026 model year updates giving the Mirage G4 more standard features and peace of mind, expect the Mirage G4 to be a popular choice for those who are looking for a sedan that's easy on the gas bills, packed with features, and is a safe bet for personal mobility.
And of course, it is proudly made in the Philippines by Filipinos.
