Dressed up for every adventure: Suzuki Jimny 3-door Rhino Edition
Small, stylish, tough, and ready for anything. That's the Jimny 3-door Rhino Edition for you

In the urban setting, the ideal vehicle is one that’s small enough to fit in tight parking spaces and narrow city streets. For outdoor adventures, four-wheel drive and plenty of ground clearance are a must. When looking for a stylish vehicle that requires both, then the Suzuki Jimny is for you.
The legendary 4x4 from Suzuki has made its name for conquering all kinds of terrain, and in every type of weather throughout its four generations. But what many people will be surprised about is how well it can play both roles as a proven off-road machine for the weekends, and as a daily driver for the weekdays.
Now, Suzuki has further spruced up the Jimny’s go-anywhere look with the new 3-door Rhino Edition.

As an adorable subcompact 4x4, the Jimny is loved for its classic boxy styling that speaks both form and function. At just a smidge over 3.6 meters long, the Jimny is shorter than most hatchbacks, making it such an easy vehicle to maneuver through narrow parking spaces and through tight mountain trails. And with 210 mm of ground clearance? The Jimny will easily tower over many obstacles and debris out on the road while giving enough confidence to drive through flooded streets, of course, within reason and caution.
With the 3-door Rhino Edition, the round LED headlamps and slotted grille are complemented by chrome inserts, while the under garnish in the front and sides amp up the style points of the Jimny even further.

Speaking of function, the extended wheel arches protect the precious metal from dings and scrapes for trail use – that’s why they were purposely finished in black. For the Rhino Edition, the body is kept clean from water splashes with the additional mudflaps. And to top it all off, the Rhino Edition decals and rear emblem give that added curb appeal and flair whether on the outdoors or in the urban jungle.
While the retro look is a refreshing sight in a sea of futuristic-looking crossovers, the Jimny 3-door Rhino Edition still keeps up with the times when you step inside the cabin.

The hard-wearing plastics were designed on purpose for easy cleaning, so the Jimny is always ready to rock its next adventure. Modern essentials for everyday driving are presented in a neat combination of amber-themed analog gauges and digital screens. There’s wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone connectivity needs, while the powerful auto climate control does a superb job of keeping the cabin cool even on hot days. There’s even a clinometer that displays rolling and pitching angles, which are very useful when going off-road.
For the little ones, there’s an isofix anchor on the rear seats to secure child restraints. But in case the rear seat isn’t needed, it can be folded flat for cargo needs, carrying things up to 35 inches long and 37 inches wide, and 30 inches tall. And despite its small size, Suzuki still thoughtfully put in a reverse camera and parking sensors.

But at its core, the Jimny 3-door Rhino Edition remains a true off-roader. Suzuki stayed faithful to proven off-road engineering for the modern times with its body-on-frame construction, and solid axles with a three-link coil spring setup for both the front and rear for maximum suspension articulation. Those are layouts that you don't see that often anymore.

On top of that, Suzuki chose a proven 4-speed automatic for easy maintenance and durability. Speaking of classic, the AllGrip Pro 4WD system and its two-speed transfer case are still being engaged through a gear lever to switch from two-wheel-drive to four-wheel-drive mode, or even 4WD Low whenever the terrain requires such.
Once you’re back on smooth pavement, the 1.5-liter engine and its lightweight construction give a good power-to-weight ratio, delivering a zippy character with great fuel efficiency for the everyday drive. When it comes to safety, the Jimny even comes with SRS airbags, Stability Control, ABS, Hill Descent, and Hill Hold Control.

Quite simply, the best thing about the Jimny 3-door Rhino Edition is that it brings balance. It’s a smart choice for those looking for a tough 4x4 on the trail, yet small, stylish, and efficient for the daily commute without the compromise.
The Suzuki Jimny 3-door Rhino Edition retails for PHP 1,331,000. To know more, visit your nearest Suzuki dealerships or check out their website at auto.suzuki.com.ph.
